PC Apex Poll

Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.
Phenom-what? AM2 who?! Speak english man!

Yes, I know what you're thinking, "Just what we need, another PSU review." Especially since Jonny and BA have been there, done that.

Actually, when you stop and think about it, the power supply is one of, if not the most important part of your computer. So you can never really afford not to learn more about what is new to the PSU market. I mean, what other part of your computer can potentially ruin the whole rest of the pieces contained within? Look at the PSU as you would gasoline for your car. If you put bad gasoline into the tank it can make the whole rest of the motor seize, and shut down. Whereas if you use good gasoline there are no knocks, pings or engines to replace.

The Ultra name became widely known with the introduction of the X-Connect PSU. This was the first to offer a fully modular power supply unit. It truly was a modders dream. Initially the X-Connect was met with mixed reviews and opinions, but in the end has been proven itself well in the market.

Today I take a look at the next new thing from Ultra, the X-Finity 500 Watt ATX PSU in Titanium. This PSU is not modular like the X-Connect, but true to the Ultra name it does bring some new technology to the table. It is offered in three finishes: black, blue and titanium with a MSRP of $99.99.
