PC Apex Poll

Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.
Phenom-what? AM2 who?! Speak english man!

Intro

I'm sure most everybody has seen those little USB powered LED "snake" lights in retail stores and online. Well Thermaltake, most known for it's PC Cases and CPU Heat sinks has one upped the competition with it's latest product. Dubbed as the XJOG A2130 Fan and Light Kit, it not only offers a USB "snake" light but also includes a USB "snake" fan and a two port USB 2.0 compliant hub. CrazyPC.com was more than nice enough to let me get my greedy little hands on a kit to take a look at and review. So without further hesitation, let me dim the lights and put my fingers in harms way...

The package arrived from in excellent condition. It was well packed in a box that was more than adequate in size for the product. I've dealt with CrazyPC.com in the past and they always do a great job of packing their orders.

The product itself was packaged in a very hard to cut open plastic package. The front of the package shows off the product well and the back has pictures of it's use and specifications.

Descriptions

Hub

The two port USB hub is USB 2.0 compliant with only one of the ports being active all the time while the other port (the top one) is activated via an on/off button. The hub has a nice suction cup on the bottom for attaching it to a smooth flat desk. There is a a little tab on the back to pull to break the suction for when you want to remove it. Thermaltake also includes with the product a little acrylic stand incase you don't have something smooth to attach it to.

Light

On one end it has a USB plug and on the other an LED in a metal housing with a plastic plug inserted into the house. The kit I was sent came with a nice blue LED in it. The "snake" tube is sheathed in a black plastic type material and appears to be quite abrasion resistant/proof.

Fan

Much like the light, the only thing that differentiates it from the light is that it has a fan at the end of it. It's blades are made of a stiff yet flexible cloth like material that touts itself to be "ouch less". The fan however does look a little on the small side to be very effective, but we shall see...
