Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.

It's all about speed. You lay down the big dollars for a high end video card so you can get those fast frame rates. You bust your ass at work in order to earn enough scratch for that killer CPU you've been eyeing along with some monster cooling gear. Now, you realize that your old pair of 512MB sticks of PC3200 just doesn't seem like enough RAM to play your new games as smooth as you'd like. Yep, it's time once more to skip a few meals, bite the bullet, and upgrade to 2GB of RAM. However, many people are firm believers in low latency RAM and that isn't something you find in 2GB RAM kits. That is, until now.

Corsair has started producing a low latency (hence, the LL in the moniker) set of 1GB sticks that allows us to have our cake and munch down on it too. Here is the Public Relations spin on it straight from Corsair:

"The TWINX2048-3500LLPRO is a 2GByte matched memory pair specifically designed for motherboards using chipsets with dual memory channels. This memory kit consists of two CMX1024-3500LLPRO memory modules that have been tested together on a current production AMD motherboard at DDR437 (218 MHz) and extremely Low Latency of 2-3-2-6 T1. These TwinX memory kits are designed to provide the ultimate in performance and stability in dual channel boards. As part of Corsair's XMS ProSeries, each module includes the high-efficiency aluminum XMS heatsink, and 18 activity LED's that show the level of memory activity on each bank."

Package

The Corsair PC3500LL RAM comes in a familiar clamshell package with a bright green background to catch your attention. The sticks are encased in the giant black heatspreaders that are now synonymous with Corsair XMS Pro memory. When you open the package up you find that the background actually unfolds into instructions on how to install your RAM. If you need the instructions I suggest you stop reading right now and step away from the keyboard. Besides, the woman's hands in the pictures are nowhere near as sexy as our own reviewer and forum admin Foe's hands (yes, she's all woman).
