Since my introduction to Logitech 4 years ago when I purchased my first mouse from them, I have come to expect certain things. Among that list of expectations the top of the charts would have to be quality. It has kept me going back to buy Logitech items time, and time again without hesitation.

When the review was offered for the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3000 Laser it made me want to look at the Logitech line from a different perspective. This would be the point of view not as a personal purchase that I researched before hand, but of a reviewer putting the product through its paces for you, the consumer. So lets get to it, and see what I found out for you.

The Package

When the package arrived from Logitech I was quite surprised at how pristine the condition of the box was. It looked as though it had been untouched by anyone much less any of the package delivery systems I am used to.

Once the outer cardboard was opened it revealed the formal box from Logitech with sufficient packing material inside. Truthfully, the product box itself is so well made it needed no packing to keep the keyboard and mouse safe during shipping. To illustrate what I mean here are some images of how the two are in the same box, but are separate in their compartments. Each is protected by a couple layers of cardboard.

Inside, along with the keyboard, mouse and receiver, there were 4 AA Duracell batteries (very nice touch), Logitech MediaLife 4.0 and SetPoint 2.4b CD, installation guide, Logitech Product guide with a 20% off coupon when I register my purchase with the Logitech site. There is also a cheat sheet of sorts that tells what each key can do on the keyboard.
