PC Apex Poll

Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.
Phenom-what? AM2 who?! Speak english man!

PC gaming is great. Super-fast, high-resolution, 7.1 surround sound, the ability to upgrade as your budget allows...the list goes on. The only drawback I've really come across is the controller. Xbox-type controllers are OK on a PC, but they do have their limitations. I've never really found a controller for the PC that I felt comfortable with...that is, until now.

Meet the Ergodex DX1 Input System.

Features

Taken directly from the Ergodex product page:

Designed by gamers for gamers. Use this ground-breaking technology to take your game to the next level. Customize your DX1 to speed up play and gain the all-important competitive edge. Dominate your game with a pad made to your personal specifications. Rule the competition by building a controller to fit the shape of your hand. Get the edge by assigning single key and complex macros "on the fly" without leaving your game. Raise your level of play with total flexibility by changing key positions and assignments at any time. Superior control with high reliability and no lag time..

The box came with the following items inside:

  • Input Pad
  • Driver CD
  • 25 Numbered Keys with adhesive backing
  • Removable Clear Plastic Tray
  • Pre-Printed labels
  • Blank labels
  • Warranty Card
  • Instructions

So let's dive right in and see what we can do with this!

Package

I was somewhat concerned when the package arrived, because Ergodex hadn't double-boxed it or anything...it was plainly marked with Ergodex's logo, and the description of it's contents...enterprising courier employees could have easily taken advantage of that, but thankfully they didn't. Not only that, but I was a little concerned about the ability of the packaging to withstand transit abuse. The box wasn't damaged, but we all know what packages can go through; I feel like I'm playing Russian Roulette whenever anything is shipped to me...but I digress...the package arrived safe and sound; unharmed.
