PC Apex Poll

Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.
Phenom-what? AM2 who?! Speak english man!

Intro

CrazyPC sent me some 1/2 inch PrimoFlex Green ultraviolet reactive tubing to check out and when I first laid eyes upon it I thought, "Damn, that's some Green hose!". When I inspected it closer one thing in particular caught my attention, this is some of the most flexible tubing I have ever used.

When I first started watercooling, I used the standard off-the-shelf Hardware Store vinyl tubing. You know what I'm talking about, the stuff that is stiff, hard to work with, and easily kinks if bent too far. It didn't take long for me to get turned on to Tygon tubing, and I have been a firm believer in using Tygon tubing for water rigs ever since.

Usage

I have finally been convinced that there is another option to using Tygon, and that other option is this CrazyPC Green UV reactive tubing. Because of the 1/8th wall thickness you make make the tightest of turns and still maintain great flow. Clamping onto barbs is simple because the soft nature of the tube allows for airtight seals with less pressure from your clamping devices. For this review I just slapped a couple 1/8th inch nylon zip ties to clamp it to the barbs and I have had nary a leak (always a good thing when water cooling).

It feels and handles almost like surgical silicone rubber. The manufacturing process actually mixes the UV reactive color into the hose itself. No more having to add dye to your liquid and worrying about whether or not the dye will build up in your pump, block, or radiator. With the CrazyPC tubing you just put in distilled water, add your favorite anti-corrosive solution, and you are ready for an ultraviolet effect.

Conclusion

Yes, there is life after Tygon. Right now the UV reactive tubing is only available in Blue or Green; I'd like to see them start offering this tubing in a wider range of colors so it will compliment that special water cooling project you've been wanting to start. I award the CrazyPC PimoFlex Green UV reactive tubing an 8 out of 10 rating and declare that it is PimpRig Approved.

PimpRig Rating //
(8 pimp hats)

I'd like to thank the find folks at CrazyPC for providing this Green ultraviolet tubing to PimpRig for review. The tubing is available from the CrazyPC website for $2.99 per foot.

Well, there you have it...soft, manageable green goodness..."Zennzzo" style.
