Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.

Intro

Asetek has developed two product lines which target the computer enthusiast's thermal management needs, VapoChill, and WaterChill. The VapoChill product line is well know as is the WaterChill line, and it is the WaterChill CPU/VGA/Chipset Power kit that PimpRig.com has on the test bench for you today. This kit was provided by FrozenCPU for our testing pleasure and if there is one thing that nobody can dispute, it's that this is one of the most complete and feature rich water cooling kits on the market. FrozenCPU has for several years been a leading supplier of computer enthusiast gear and has a solid reputation for taking care of their customers. This kit arrived via FEDEX packaged just as you see below and although there was no additional packaging surrounding the original Asetek box, it was undamaged as the packing material Asetek uses is of excellent quality, water-resistant, and very durable.

As the name suggests, this is Asetek's Power kit and it is intended to compete directly with other 3/8" ID kits from DangerDen, Swiftech, PolarFlow, and the European AquaComputer and Innovatek 10mm kits as well. Asetek has not designed their WaterChill products to support Thermal Electric cooling as their approach to extreme sub-zero cooling is the well known and effective VapoChill Phase Change product line. I believe that Asetek feels that the 3/8" format is entirely sufficient for effective water cooling and that is what we are going to find out as this kit contains water blocks for the CPU, GPU, and North Bridge chip cooling with a large Black Ice Pro Triple radiator and a 900 l/hr SACEM Pump, (Hydor L30).

My initial expectations of this kit is that in it's complete configuration it will provide very reasonable performance but that better performance could be achieved with a little "twinking" of the components. I am a believer that there is more to be lost by water cooling the Chipset then is to be gained by it in most circumstances. That being said, many enthusiasts operate their systems in warmer environments and the addition of the Chipset cooler would be a welcome option indeed for these folks. Let's get on with it.

Package and Contents

Upon opening the box I was greeted with a host of shiny new components all carefully packed with all of the assorted smaller items neatly separated in individual packets that made identifying and organizing the system a minor task.

I have provided some information below from Asetek outlining the kit's contents and their claims of what performance you should expect from their products. We will see soon enough whether this kit will hit the mark or miss.
