Intro

So he will most likely get what you’re talking about. Not like the guy in your local shop when you walk in the door and tell him you’re looking for a Maxxxpert Radiator and some UV Cathodes. The guy in your local shop looks at you all weird and usually says, HUH??? Radiator? In a PC? What you using a V8 to power Windows 95? All jokes aside. The Case
Today I am reviewing a Hybrid FrozenCPU PC60. This case is essentially a Lian-Li PC60 with a few very important tweaks done to it. This case is a model with which you will have to ask to have made. Really not hard when you call just tell them what you want and if it’s in their power they do it. The PC60 on the site adds an 80mm blow hole as well as a side window fan in 80mm variety. Since I am going to be using this case to move the Swiftech Water-cooling kit inside I decided that no side window fan was better as the GPU in my case is water-cooled.
Also the Top Blowhole was cut to 120mm instead of 80mm.
FrozenCPU added a clear blade 120mm fan which I feel is way more pimp than any black 80 mm. And the luxurious "Truck Driver Mud Flap Girl Custom Fan grill". I guess he felt that Pimps needed some hoes on their case. Ha Ha good touch FrozenCPU. Frozen also sent along a Red Cathode in their new variant. Not the one that was reviewed previously at a dismal last place. This kit is superior. The wires come out of one end now and the driver is properly Shrink Wrapped in Plastic. This thing is bright like all cathodes but the extra attention to detail is what makes it special. The nice Rubber End Caps. The sturdy feel etc….
As we get into putting this beauty together let me first take the time to talk about the Lian-Li PC60. Now most of you are already familiar with Lian-Li cases but for those few that aren’t lets cover a few points. Lian-Li cases are made entirely out of aluminum. The interior is more a raw aluminum than the exterior. The Exterior has been anodized to protect the surface from marring and light scratching. Lian-Li cases have a very simplistic approach to the looks department. You won’t find a bunch of weird curves or out of place shapes. They are clean, functional and very sheik in style. Lian-Li takes the extra step in a few details that most cases could take a good lesson on.
