Introduction
Ive long been a fan of Hiper Groups products, having used a Hiper Type-R 580w Modular PSU in my main rig for nearly 2 years now, so I was extremely excited when I was asked to review their first offering into the world of ATX cases, and quite a first attempt it is. The Hiper Anubis, named after the Egyptian god of the dead, guardian of the land of the dead and general master chief of the underworld. The image is sinister and mysterious, not unlike the subtle dark and (at first glance) understated features of the Anubis. Hot off the production line, the case is not yet widely available (I have number 1925), so please sit by while I conjure a rather large smug grin before I let you salivate over the highly impressive lines, specifications and features of this case.
The god of Death arrived in tip top condition, delivered by a rough looking delivery guy who for some reason wasn't as excited as me when he lugged the rather cool looking, but chunky, box into my hall way. Luckily nothing had happened in transit from the Netherlands, thanks mainly I suspect to the massive wads of styrene padding enclosing the Anubis in its sarcophagus. Quite a box for a case I think you'll agree, proudly announcing the 100% high quality 3mm thick 6063 T5 alloy construction. Ripping open the padding and setting eyes on the Anubis, it was clear this was something special. No tacky plastic to be seen, just smooth black, and one WHOPPING great big heatsink welded to the top! Even the front bezel, solid alloy and just as striking as the top heatsink.
So, all alloy construction, custom welded panels, and the biggest heatsink you've ever seen in a PC, the Anubis is off to a very good start. Lets take a look at some more detailed specs.

An impressive feature set I hear you agree. Equally impressive was the over generous included hardware, provided in a rather old school style "pencil case" for lack of a better phrase. All the thumb screws, stand-offs and fan screws you will need, plus a rather swanky limited edition keyring and a handy brush for keeping your new giant killer heatsink dust-free. A rather nice addition I feel, as I hate cleaning PCs and anything to make it easier is a welcome break. Check out the swanky limited edition keyring included too.
Hopefully your appetite is suitable wetted, so lets take a closer look at the exterior of the case.
