Intro
As you know this review is a long time in the making due to the big crash I had. But finally here it is!! First let me take the time to thank Mark at FrozenCpu.com without his help and support this review would not be possible. If you are in the market for some cool modding, cooling, or performance gear for your Pc you have to check out FrozenCpu.com. They have unique products and cater to every type of user. Their service is unsurpassed and they go out of their way to help! But you already know that I am sure.
As all of you know the Future of water-cooling since Koolance has stepped foot into the market has definitely been secured as a more viable option for extreme cooling. Koolance makes a technology that was once considered for the extreme techie only more affordable and easier to manage. How do they do this you ask? Well Koolance takes the already popular Antec dragon style case and adds a self contained cooling system that has all the toys and options.
First Impression and Forethought’s.
When I received my Koolance case and opened the box. I knew right away this was going to be one of my more fun reviews to do. I can tell why FrozenCpu.com who is more famous for the Blizzard series cases decided to put these in there already impressive case line up. One look inside the case and you will see the advanced design and ease of use of this system. The placement of the reservoir is well thought out. The radiator, control board and even the supercharged looking scoop up top with the fans and multiple controls. All well thought out placement. As prior Koolance systems were aimed at only making a quieter cooling solution. The newer Koolance products are aimed at not only quieter operation but also entry level overclocking. The 100-watt Cooling block included in the PC2601 will allow ample room to overclock a couple hundred megahertz on the Athlon XP series processors. However it is not the extreme waterblock that would benefit from using peltier or allowing massive overclocking. Look forward to a 200-watt block from Koolance & FrozenCpu.com real soon. We hope to have a review sample for you when they arrive.
Now for the review. I will not bore you with system specs from the manufacturer or the box that it came in. I know I never read reviews for that info. I want know how it works, and how easy it is to setup. That’s what we all really care about. If you want system specs you can find them here:Koolance.
