PC Apex Poll

Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.
Phenom-what? AM2 who?! Speak english man!

Centurion - The Commander of a Century in the Roman Army.

If you notice in the advertisements the Centurion name has a Roman Centurion's helmet on the 'C'. So far though they have nine (9) cases that herald the Centurion name. I do have to admit it is a very noble sounding name for a case line. On the Cooler Master site I found the reasoning behind it:

"Centurion, an honorable name, represents quality of Discipline, Integrity & Loyalty. With the Centurion beside you, now you can conquer the world feeling safe and proud without having to be Caesar." (editor - as long as Brutus isn't around...)

Cooler Master has another case they have sent for me to check out for you. If you recall the last one I looked at was the Centurion 531, and the one I am reviewing this time around is the Centurion 534.

Package

Cooler Master did a little switch up on how they shipped this case compared to previous shipments. Normally they send the item in a plain brown box with the fuchsia Cooler Master box inside. This time they sent it just in the Cooler Master box that has all the information listed on the outside. This certainly does not mean it wasn't packed well because it was.

Shipping this way makes sense to me since they are really just getting free advertising. If you think of all the hands that this package went through to get to me, at least one person will read the claims on the outside and will remember the Cooler Master name when they go to make a computer purchase.

Opening the box I found that the case was covered in a heavy duty plastic bag and capped on the top and bottom by a fitted piece of Styrofoam. This served well to protect the case in transit since I did notice a thumb sized dent and tear on the outer box.

Along with the case the other contents in the box include the Installation Guide (8 languages), one plastic tie wrap, one tie down for the tie wrap, a couple bags of screws, motherboard standoffs, and HDD rails in an off-white hard plastic.
