PC Apex Poll

Since the Phenom will run on AM2 will you (or do you) use an AM2 setup?
I already am on AM2 and plan to stay.
I was already planning to move to AM2.
I am moving to AM2 because it will support the Phenom.
I am waiting till the Phenom is out for a while but will consider it.
I am an AMD Fanboy.
I am an Intel Fanboy.
I am not considering an AM2 setup at all.
I don't care as long as I can get my email.
Phenom-what? AM2 who?! Speak english man!

Intro

With the big name portable audio manufacturers campaigning their way all throughout the MP3 player market, the focus of many consumers can easily be drawn towards the products of these manufacturers. In turn, this can easily cloud the consumer’s vision and knowledge of MP3 players produced by other various manufacturers; one such manufacturer would be Eumax. Having a diverse product lineup which consists of computer peripherals and consumer electronics, Eumax has given me the opportunity to review the Mambo MP-D600 6-in-1 MP3 player. Available in 128MB or 256MB models, the review model is equipped with a 128MB of built-in memory.

Package & Contents

The package that contains the Mambo 6-in-1 MP3 player has a simple design with a professional look. On the front of the box the Mambo player is displayed while on the back of the box other MP3 players by the manufacturer are showed.

Inside of the retail package you will find a white box which contains:

-Mambo MP-D600 6-in-1 MP3 Player
-Installation CD
-USB Cable
-User Manual
-Stereo earphones

Opening the white box, you will find the Mambo as well as the included battery. Underneath of this layer is where the rest of the included contents are found.

Mambo MP-D600 Design

With many of the flash-based MP3 players using the stick/pen design, it's hard to find one with a unique physical design. On the other hand, the Mambo uses a square design which measures 72mm x 55mm x 22mm. As oddly as it seems, the design helps the Mambo fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.

This design also lends to the easy access of the controls on the Mambo. The Mambo uses a total of five buttons and an illuminated LCD; all found on the front of the MP3 player.

The first of the five buttons is the play/pause button, this is found at the top right hand corner of the Mambo. As you can imagine, this button is used to play or pause a track. This button is also used for a third function, turning the Mambo on and off. This design is very popular among many other MP3 players and looks like it's going to stay around for awhile.

Below the play/pause button is the LCD, this is where the track information as well as other indicators are displayed. I would also like to point out that "MP3" is displayed in the top portion of the LCD, just incase you didn't know what you were dealing with.

The next picture shows the LCD illuminated; perfect for low-light situations.

Underneath of the LCD is where the four remaining buttons are located. The button right below the LCD is the mode button and is labeled as "M". The smaller buttons underneath of the mode button are used for up, down, and function options. The function buttons is labeled with an “F”, while the up and down buttons are labeled with corresponding arrows. The Mambo also comes equipped with a built in microphone which is located between the F button and the down button.
