Intro

So what do you get when you mix a product that can read a USB storage device that holds MP3 files, can connect to virtually any type of portable audio device, and has a built in FM Transmitter? You get the Anydrive CarMP3 + FM Transmitter! This portable device enters the portable audio market with a different approach compared to many other MP3 players.

When I was first contacted about this product, I was immediately intrigued by the innovative idea behind the Anydrive CarMP3 device. Instead of storing MP3 files on the actual device itself, the Anydrive reads MP3 files from an attached USB device. This idea by itself lends itself to almost countless music files since you can use any size USB storage device. The Anydrive then uses its built in FM Transmitter to broadcast the signal to a nearby FM receiver/tuner. Even if you've never seen the product, you can just imagine how portable and flexible this device can actually be.

Before we look at the packaging and contents of the Anydrive CarMP3, here is a quick specifications list which was taken from the AL Tech website:

Package & Contents

The Anydrive CarMP3 comes packaged in a stylish 2-layer design which consists of a retail box and then plastic split packaging. The outter retail box has an opening that displays the Anydrive CarMP3 device as well as a brief description of what this product offers.

Technical specifications and a small illustration of devices that can be used with the Anydrive CarMP3 are shown on the back of the box, and on the side of the box is a list of key features.

As I mentioned earlier, inside of this retail box is where the plastic split packaging that holds the Anydrive CarMP3 device is kept. The same information that is on the retail box has been reitterated on the inside plastic packaging. Big thumbs up are given to AL Tech for using split packaging instead of that other type of plastic packaging; you know, the adult proof packaging that seems to be glued or melted together. No scissors or knives are needed to open this package up!

Although both the retail box and the split packaging present the product in a professional manner, was it really necessary to use both sources of packaging? I would have imagined that either one of the packaging options would have sufficed by itself. But none-the-less, the presentation of the Anydrive CarMP3 deserves an A.

Next, opening the inside plastic packaging we find the contents include:

-The Anydrive CarMP3 Device
-Instruction Manual
-2 Velcro Strips
-Car Lighter Adapter
-Dip Switch Sticker
